Print on Canvas
In store, we print on canvas that is a natural fibre blend coated with a matte finish which holds ink vividly. It is a modern aesthetic that is resistance to scratches and moisture with a textured finish enhancing the artistic feel of your treasured memories. Printing on canvas offers a durable artpiece without the need to frame, due to the width of the stretched bar when stretching canvas pieces, this will also create a shadow effect resulting in a 'pop' off effect on the wall.
There is an option to print with white borders or mirrored wrapped edges.
Stretch Canvas
Professional stretching ensures tightness such that the canvas will not sag or buckle over time even in humid conditions. Proper stretching preserves tensions preventing wrinkles that could damage the printed image or artwork over time.
A tapered stretcher bar made of pine is used in store, its thickness determined by the leeway left on the artwork's edge. Typically we recommend at least 32mm which artists usually take into account. If artwork extends past this, some of the artwork may need to be wrapped around the stretcher bar to ensure secure stapling.
We also stretch different textiles such as linen, and cotton-blends. Pieces ranging from traditional dot paintings done by indigenous Australian to Indian and Indonesian pieces.
Floater Frame
A modern, minimalist aesthetic for framing canvas. A standard 5mm gap between the frame and the canvas creating the 'floating' or 'hovering' effect. This depth illusion is perfect for those wanting to add an outline to their artwork without drawing focus away.
Box Frame for Canvas
For a more formal and traditional style art piece we recommend a frame which is deep enough to cover the entire edge of a canvas. This design may be desired over the modern 'float' for classical pieces or timeless living spaces.
